Can you be sure that you have holiday entitlements worked out correctly for your employees?

The basics…….

Everyone is entitled to a minimum 5.6 weeks’ holiday, which, for a full-timer, is 28 days. This can include bank holidays or you can add them on as an extra benefit… and you can be even more generous if you wish, and if the business can afford it! However, it is a much-believed myth that employees are entitled to bank holidays off work…. It depends on what is in their contract…..

Where it gets tricky….

is where you have part-timers, or people working days of different lengths through the week, or people on seasonal contracts…. and what if someone falls ill during their holiday? Can they claim back the leave? … and what about holiday entitlement for employees on maternity leave?

Many organisations unwittingly make mistakes so why not get some support with this?
