Local HR firm achieves European success
Local HR firm, TurnstoneHR, has reached the next milestone in its development strategy by signing up its first European client.
Following lengthy discussions, the contract to provide HR services for the new client has now been signed. The client, who wishes to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the work being undertaken, is based in The Netherlands and operates a large fleet of vessels. This initial contract for services is likely to lead to on-going work with the new client.
Set up in January 2010, moving into mainland Europe was always part of TurnstoneHR’s development strategy and it was anticipated that this would happen in 2014. To have signed an international contract a year ahead of schedule shows the Turnstone team’s committed and dynamic approach to growth.
TurnstoneHR, based on Walney Road in Barrow-in-Furness, now employs a team of nine to service its portfolio of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and marine clients – providing a range of HR support services.
The SME clients are based not only within the Furness area but as far adrift in Cumbria as Kendal and Penrith, as well as Lancashire and the North-East of England, whilst the company’s marine clients are scattered throughout the UK – from Aberdeen to the south coast, Guernsey, and now, of course, mainland Europe.
TurnstoneHR’s Managing Director, Phil Collier said: “Signing this contract for services was a momentous achievement for us at TurnstoneHR. Since TurnstoneHR’s inception we have been focussed on providing an excellent service for our clients, and have grown our team and portfolio steadily and carefully – a must in the current economic times.”
He continued: “Signing our first European contract a year ahead of schedule shows that we have been able to pull our growth strategy forward by a year. This is a real testament to the input of the team and we could not have achieved our successes without their enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility”.
