TurnstoneHR joins forces with Credit Union

Local firm TurnstoneHR has become the 2^nd business to sign up for the Barrow & District Credit Union’s payroll deduction scheme – giving its staff easy access to safe savings and affordable loans, and taking another step to support its local community.

The staff at the HR consultancy, who provide bespoke HR support to a range of local businesses, including the Credit Union, will have the opportunity to start saving in this scheme from this month.

Staff will be able to make a contribution to a Credit Union savings scheme from their salary each month, as well as having access to low interest loans, should they need them.

TurnstoneHR’s Managing Director, Phil Collier said: “Here at TurnstoneHR we are passionate about supporting the local community, and also work our hardest to take good care of our staff. Introducing the payroll deduction scheme with the Credit Union felt like a great way to do both of those things – it helps to ensure the financial wellbeing of our team and makes a valuable contribution to the local community.

Jon Balm, General Manager of Barrow & District Credit Union said:  “We are delighted that TurnstoneHR has decided to introduce the scheme for its staff. It will provide the team with a real alternative to high interest pay day loans and door-step lending, as well as somewhere to save both ethically and safely.

It is only through this sort of support from local businesses and individuals that the Credit Union can continue to grow and provide more people with low cost financial help and support when they need it, as well as a safe place to grow their savings.”
