The Birchall Trust

As a small local charity, we have received invaluable support from the Turnstone team over the years. This summer, 2020, we were faced with recruiting a new Chief Executive Officer during a global pandemic. This was a formidable task for the board of Trustees to make a major investment which would have a long-term impact on the future of the charity. Sarah supported us every step of the way, warning us of pitfalls, advising on correct procedure and guiding our decision making.

We felt, despite having become used to working virtually, it was important interviews should be held face to face. Sarah was able to arrange a venue where the interviews could be held safely but in a relaxed manner. All involved, including the candidates, felt the process had been a positive one. Personally, having faced the idea of appointing a new Chief Executive with trepidation, I can say I enjoyed the experience, and this was in no small part having confidence in Sarah’s expertise and advice.
