In the meantime, however, your colleagues may well be feeling anxious in the face of the uncertainties and may have questions about its effect on employment law and employee rights, or the right to work in the UK for migrant workers.

The immediate challenge for you is to reassure your employees and to keep them informed of any changes that will have an impact on their working lives.

It’s worth being extra mindful of your duty of care and making sure support is available to those struggling to cope with any stress caused by these major changes. Counselling may help in some cases.

As always with change management, the importance of clear and consistent communication cannot be overemphasised.
